BONUS EPISODE: Trump Adds ANOTHER 10% Tariff To Chinese Products.
Monday Mar 03, 2025
Monday Mar 03, 2025
In this bonus episode of China Manufacturing Decoded, Renaud talks about the additional 10% tariff to be placed on Chinese products announced by Donald Trump on February 27th.
Earlier in February he placed a blanket 10% tariff on all Chinese imports (in addition to any already in place), so this new round coming into effect in the first week of March 2025 will take them to 20%+ existing rates...and it's supposedly all because of Fentanyl.
Trump says on social media:
"Drugs are still pouring into our Country from Mexico and Canada at very high and unacceptable levels" and that "a large percentage" of the drugs were made in China.
Let's look into why he has taken this action, how American importers may be affected, and also about how the trading relationship between the USA and China may evolve moving forward.
